The 22nd Annual Wichita Adult Literacy Council Book Fair is to commence on April 4th

The Wichita Adult Literacy Council will hold its 22nd annual Book Fair this Friday, April 4th at the Multi-Purpose Event Center in Wichita Falls. The Executive Director of the council, Carla Arinder, had sorted through books that are going to be sold during the Book Fair. 

The Wichita Adult Literacy Council is a nonprofit agency that empowers people to improve their individual literacy skills and promotes community awareness of literacy issues.


According to Carla Arinder, the book fair is how the council raises money to fund what they do - promote literacy through their volunteer literacy program with one-on-one tutor training with people that want to improve their literacy skills.

There will be over 5,000 square feet of children’s books and 10,000 square feet of books for adults. The book fair begins on the 4th at 5 p.m., for the Early Bird preview night, the fee is 10$ while, teachers get in free with ID. The main sale is on the 4th and 5th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
